HVAC System Defeated by the Common Ant

Wednesday, June 19th, 2013

I know you are familiar with ants but did you know they can shut down your air conditioning unit? We can’t tell you the amount of times this happens. Our technician gets out there and finds an army of ants inside that have taken the system down. This issue is easily prevented! Spray for ants around your systems. It’s very easy and a lot less expensive than the repair bill!

We also encourage you to keep the weeds, grass and tree debris away from your HVAC system! One stray branch can ruin your fan!

There are numerous reasons why your AC is not performing the way it should. Now is a great time to ensure that your home is ready for summer. For air conditioning repair in Lawrenceville and Gwinnett county, call Deb or Karen at Wall Heating and Air today at 770-736-5207!
Garden Update: We weed whacked half the corn down this past weekend. The weeds had overtaken the poor corn. I laid black plastic down to kills all the weeds. What happens during a scheduled precision tune-up?

Tuesday, June 11th, 2013

During a scheduled tune-up, our service technician follows a multi-point checklist to inspect and clean your home’s heating and cooling system.

This includes checking the tstat settings; checking all electrical connections; inspect the condensate drain; checking the system controls and how the system cycles; testing all electrical components and safety controls; inspecting and cleaning or changing the air filter; cleaning indoor and outdoor cooling coils; checking the system’s refrigerant charge; inspect for carbon monoxide leakage, and cleaning and adjusting the blower. Your technician will go over everything about your system and then leave you a copy of your system information and findings.

We offer our customers our “Club” program. We set up this program to keep your systems running efficiently so that you do not overpay on your utility bills and to provide you with discounts and priority service. You also receive tow full precision tune-ups (one for the cooling and one for the heating), receive a 20% discount on repairs, a $34.95 repair diagnostic fee instead of $87, and if you ever need replacement, will discount you another 5%. We even offer a senior Club membership discount!

We are here for all your HVAC concerns in Sugar Hill, Auburn, Hoschton and Grayson!

Garden update: Have a green tomato at least 4 inches around. Tried something different with the corn. Placed landscaping paper with holes for the corn. With all this rain, the weeds have lifted up the landscaping paper. Now I’m looking into putting something on top of the paper to smother all the weeds.
