PLEASE!!!

PLEASE!!!

Brr!  Have you looked at the 5 day forecast for Loganville, Dacula, Suwanee or all of Gwinnett County?  We have!
It’s COLD!!!!
Wednesday we are looking at a HIGH of 39 – that’s right a HIGH! And Thursday, it’s supposed to be 30 with a low of 13!!!
Some simple things to know about your HVAC units:
*If you have a heat pump and temperatures go below 32, your unit will go into emergency heat – it’s not a gas furnace…It won’t heat like a furnace.
*Remember last year during the cold snap, some of the municipalities had gas issues. It might affect us again.
*If you have a unit in your attic with a condensate line, open your attic door a little so that line doesn’t freeze. That line freezing could cause water issues and also apply the emergency shutoff so your unit won’t be working at all.
*If your power goes out, first off even with a gas furnace, you will not have heat. Gas furnaces have electric blowers and also electric ignitions. Shut off your units at the thermostat. If your thermostat is blank, shut it off at the light switch by your unit. When the power is restored, the power surge could ruin your systems. Remember how they always told us to unplug our computers or use power plugs. Same reason.
If your outside unit is covered in ice, do NOT try to break off the ice.
Call us if you are having any problems, concerns or need to have your furnace/heat pump serviced or repaired!

Remember to be careful with these temperatures!  Frost bite starts fast!

Between Service Filter Change Options

Thursday, September 25th, 2014
Filthiest Filter for 9/14

Filthiest Filter for 9/14

We had to share this picture with you!  The homeowner says her husband doesn’t like to change the filters.  We have heard this enough that we are offering the option for our Club customers to pay a little extra for their contract for our technician to come in between services to change their filters.  The filter changing is a supplement to our regular twice yearly maintenance!

Importance of clean filters:
1. Allows your unit to breathe!
2. Helps your unit run as efficiently as
possible which reduces your energy bills
3. Home air quality is cleaner! Allergens are
less!
4. Less dust in your home
Wall Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. will add onto your Club Contract to come change your filter in between services. If your filter is located in a crawlspace, you don’t even have to be home…We’ll leave a note to let you know we were there!
This service is for 1 filter change appointment every 6 months.
This is for standard filters and does not include the air filtration filters.
Filter change appointments will be made when we are in the area and will not be used as a troubleshooting appointment.

On another note, until the end of October, we are offering our Sensi thermostats installed for $199 each. They are compatible with most Smartphones!

Call Deb or Karen at 770-736-5207 to schedule today!

Taking Humidity Out of Your Home Air;

Wednesday, July 9th, 2014

Hey Hotlanta!
Now that the humidity has hit Buford, Suwanee, Dacula and all of Gwinnett County, it’s time to take it out of our homes!
You know that feeling when your sheets are clammy, your towels don’t feel dry and carpets feel damp?
Here’s a couple of ideas to take that out of your home
1. Turn your thermostat down a couple of degrees. This allows your AC to pull the humidity out.
2. Have us install a dehumidifier. We have customers tell us what a huge difference it makes in their homes! We give free estimates too.
Call Karen or Deb today at 770-736-5207 to schedule your estimate for a dehumidifier, maintenance or repair!

Dirty Filter Results! Look at this!

Wednesday, May 14th, 2014

I know we constantly remind people to change their filters! We even have 3 month reminder postcards for our Club Maintenance customers! But here is proof that changing your filter is important! Because the filter was not allowing air through it, the AC was working so hard it froze up! We had to defrost it before we could work on it!

This is from a system with a clogged filter!

This Year’s Vegetable Garden

Monday, May 5th, 2014
This years Veggie Garden!

This years Veggie Garden!

I know this has nothing to do with Heating or Air Conditioning but here’s this year’s edition of my vegetable garden! My bean plants are about 3 inches tall, my cucumber plants still have only the 2 leaves but there are enough I’ll have to thin them. I have 6 tomato plants, 2 pepper plants and 1 zucchini (every gardener knows how one good zucchini plant can produce!!!) I also got 12 rutabaga plants…we’ll see how they do. Then I have about 12 rows of corn!

In the picture you can see the milk crates. That’s my composter. Pinterest project!

The pool ladder you see is to give the watermelon and canteloupe something to grow on. I have leftover fence to make the shelves. I also have pots of lavender and chives.

Last years garden was a bust, hopefully, 2014 garden is a major success! I’ll keep you posted!
